Another successful Walk to D'Feet MND!

Many thanks to those of you who joined us on Sunday 10 July last year for our annual fundraising Walk to D'Feet MND. We were about 35 people in total, plus a few four-legged supporters, the weather held good, and we all enjoyed the walk round the Pednor Loop, which raised a little over £3,000 - an excellent total!

We will be arranging a walk for this year, and the date will be published here and information will be in the Newsletter nearer the time.

The Thame Show

On Saturday 30 July last year we joined forces with the Oxfordshire Branch to represent the Association at the Oxfordshire County & Thame Show, which is one of the biggest agricultural shows in the country. We had demonstrations of various types of equipment to help people living with MND, a dice roll to win a magnum of champagne or a bottle of wine, National Raffle Tickets were on sale, and much to the delight of many children who visited the marquee – racing pigs! – and we are very grateful to all those who helped make it a success. Over the course of a long but enjoyable day we had a good number of visitors some of whom had personal knowledge or experience of the disease, and who appreciated being able to stop and chat. We also had a brief but very welcome visit by the Association President, Professor Colin Blakemore.
